Webmaster & IT Committee

“Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information on it.”

Ray Breault, Webmaster
Florida State Council Vietnam Veterans of America has committed itself to having the best website of any of the Vietnam Veterans of America State Councils. This goal is being achieved through the dedication of our webmaster, but also through the continued involvement of Florida VVA Chapters and members that continuously provide input, photographs and documents for the website. On the website you will find information on issues that matter to all veterans, news related to health and VA claims, as information on how the Florida VVA Chapters and members are assisting veterans and their communities.

As you take the time to explore the website for Florida State Council Vietnam Veterans of America, you will fine information on who we are, what we have done and what we will be doing. There is a vast photo collection as well as numerous links that can provide information on the Veterans Administration, Vietnam and more. Thanks for visiting with us.

Our webmaster also assists FSC Officers and Delegates in computer and IT Issues on an as available basis.

We encourage you to prominently display FSC website on your chapter website to encourage visits.

B. I have done limited work on FSC Website recently due to FSC Treasurer Responsibilities. I will be doing a lot of work on website(s) following State Council meeting.

C. Planned website activities include:
 a. Extensive work to be done on America Serving Veterans Foundation website.
 b. Catch up FSC website with photos and articles received recently but not yet updated.
 c. Go live with website. (information for officers and delegates)
 d. Design and install “fillable” forms.
 e. Expand links available on FSC website.
 f. Update new chapters info (Do not have all information needed).
 g. Work on FSC Council committees.
We encourage you to send photographs, event notices and articles of interest.

D. Have installed CrashPlan on line backup system to safeguard Florida State Council records. All Chapters are encouraged to have backup procedures. With today’s computers and complicated software, computer crashes are all too common. 3 FSC Officers experienced crashes in last few months. Fortunately, two of three were able to recover, but not without a lot of work.

 Respectfully Submitted,
