Purpose: The Veterans Incarcerated Committee of the Florida State Council shall develop programs of awareness with regard to the special needs of veterans who are presently or formerly incarcerated. The Committee shall act as Liaison with the State Council, the Veteran Incarcerated Chapters and the Regular Chapter Veteran Incarcerated Committees.
Mission:
Provide benefits and services not currently provided to veterans incarcerated by implementing programs in coordination with the Florida Department of Corrections and the Veterans Administration.
Organize regular VVA Chapters to assist and sponsor Veterans during their incarceration and during their transition to the outside world
Form new Veteran Incarcerated Chapters as needed.
